My niece hasn't put her down since we unboxed her, mostly because those little cornrows are actually fun to redo. I've braided and unbraided that hair at least ten times already and it still holds up.

The embroidered face on this doll is so sweet and soft, and my niece immediately started restyling the cornrow hair into little twists. It's held up well after a week of constant play, which says a lot for a doll this size.

My daughter has been braiding and re-braiding the cornrow hair for days now, which is exactly what I hoped for. The embroidered face is really sweet in person too, softer looking than the photos suggested. She hasn't put it down since it arrived.
